Overview
An exterior wall enclosure acts as the barrier between a
controlled and conditioned environment, and the harsh, unpredictable
forces of nature. Therefore, an effective, well-designed enclosure
must fulfill a long list of demands. Aside from the structural
requirements, the barrier must control water and vapor infiltration,
and air leakage1.
Of all the environmental challenges facing an enclosure,
water and vapor infiltration has always been relevant. Today,
with all of the new issues related to mold growth in buildings,
water penetration is an even greater problem. Now, more than
ever, the market is demanding real solutions to this problem.
At Swirnow Architectural Wall Systems LLC, we are convinced
that with new techniques and new product designs, the problem
of water penetration can be solved.
