Swirnow Structures VA North LLC is pleased to announce that construction has begun on new living quarters for US Navy personnel in the Hampton Roads/Newport News, Virginia area. The Homeport Hampton Roads project, which includes the construction of a six-story Naval Enlisted Housing structure with 755 units, will feature the Hambro® D500 Composite Floor System.
The owner developer is the U.S. Department of Defense under the auspices of the new Public/Private Venture (PPV) program; the General Contractor is Tompkins Builders Inc. of Washington DC; The Lessard Group Inc. of Vienna, Virginia is the architect.
John C. Stahl, Vice President of Swirnow, said, "The Defense Department is committed to improving military housing options for enlisted personnel, and we're proud that Hambro® was selected.
