Primary Acoustics LLC, a Baltimore-based national distributor of Acoustical Products for the construction industry, proudly introduced VERDEX®, Your Prescription for Sound SolutionsSM, at the Coverings Show in Orlando, Florida. The “Sound Doctors” - Andew W. Naden, Rob S. Friedman and John C. Stahl - were on hand to “consult” with construction professionals on how to improve their Impact Isolation Class (IIC) Ratings to 50 points or better.

VERDEX® is a sound-reducing underlayment for ceramic tile, natural stone and hardwood flooring. Made from 100% recycled rubber, VERDEX® is environmentally friendly, will not rot, develop mold or mildew, does not absorb water and is perfect for new construction as well as renovation. VERDEX® is available in a variety of thicknesses and is delivered in rolls and mats, making it easy to install.

“With the new restrictive regulations which determine the minimum sound insulation properties in newly constructed residential and commercial buildings, Primary Acoustics LLC has introduced VERDEX®,” says “Doctor” Naden, the company’s Executive Vice President. “Our research indicates that most buildings currently do not comply with the minimum 50 point IIC standard. How can the builder and developer be sure that their new building is going to make the grade? We believe that using VERDEX® as directed during construction will provide the solution and help them ace their IIC.”

As part of the promotion for the VERDEX® debut, thousands of prescription bottles filled with flavorful jellybeans were distributed, and a contest was held to give away 3 pairs of Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones by Bose. VERDEX® was displayed on the floor of the booth and in rolls, all branded with the green VERDEX® logo. Best of all, literally hundreds of visitors in need of “sound” advice saw a Sound Doctor®.
