Our Daily Bread Employment Center
Swirnow Structures LLC is proud to announce that the Hambro® D500 Composite Floor System will be used in Catholic Charities' Our Daily Bread Employment Center, a one-stop resource center for Baltimore's homeless and working poor.
Located on Fallsway, the three-story, building will house four expanded Catholic Charities programs including a soup kitchen, an employment academy/center and an emergency services program. CAM Construction of Timonium, Maryland is the general contractor; Cochran Stephenson and Donkervoet of Baltimore is the architect; and Morabito Consultants, Inc. of Baltimore is the engineer.
Endorsed by the Governor of Maryland and four Baltimore City Mayors, the employment center broke ground on September 29, 2005 and is slated to open in 2006.
"We are honored to be a part of this exciting project," says John C. Stahl, Swirnow's Vice President/Southern Region. "This employment center will not only feed people, but also provide resources that can help them get back on their feet and off the streets."
