Swirnow's 6th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Giveaway!



A holiday meal giveaway led by a father-son team has fed more than 60,000 residents in the last five years. On Saturday, November 23, 2002, they did it again.

"Our Family to Your Family" launched in 1997 by Richard A. Swirnow, Developer of HarborView, and son David E. Swirnow, President of Swirnow Building Systems, distributed Thanksgiving gift baskets to more than 45 non-profit organizations in an effort to provide food relief to those in need.

Thanks to Swirnow company employees and more than four dozen non-profit groups and public agencies, 50,000 pounds of turkey dinners in 1,700 meal baskets will reach needy families.

"The families who received the dinners last year were awed. The food was so plentiful and tasty," says Judy Western, Director of Children's Services at Family and Children's Services of Central Maryland. "We applaud the efforts of the Swirnow companies in helping many families celebrate Thanksgiving joyfully."
